I’m here in Brazil filming a documentary about the Chariot Riders, who work riding all over the city of Porto Alegre in horse-drawn chariots. They live on islands in the river Guaíba next to Porto Alegre. The main island is called Ilha dos Marinheiros (“The Isle of Sailors”). We filmed there Thursday, and while filming on the island, the power lines exploded…
Here is a little newsflash style snippet of the footage, including some vox pop interviews about the situation.
That same night, I went live on TV on the Bibo Nunes Show (for the third time, read about my first time on his show) to talk about the footage and the documentary in general, and they showed this power lines exploding clip on their show. There were also some Samba queens on the show, nice! (Pics below)
UPDATED: Now I have a vlog explaining what is going on (below). Even though the YouTube thumbnail looks like I’m a glowing alien, I promise you I am not! (YouTube has some serious image processing issues.)
