Revision Hell
noun
- an eternal clash with a terrifying first draft.
- the process of realizing you're an idiot.
- a perpetual state of headaches, bad coffee trips and laziness.
- discovering you changed your supporting character's gender seven times.
With that out of the way, let's move on to today's horror stories.
Wonderful post by fellow writer Joe Pineda. I was feeling a bit of number #2 as I hashed out my "ten key scenes" as per Victoria Schmidt's Book In A Month. It's amazing how much you learn about what you don't know once you sit down to create a world and characters to fill that world. It's reassuring to know that other people also feel the same way sometimes. Thanks, Joe, for putting a smile on my face!
